This KIDS COUNT Snapshot draws on data from the Census Bureau’s Annual March 2001 Current Population Survey to show the trends of children in households without an available phone. The approach used in this study offers a framework for looking more broadly at patterns of advantage and disadvantage by examining the specific drawbacks associated with being poor or isolated.
