The Casey Foundation funds a nationwide network of state-level KIDS COUNT projects that provide a more detailed, community-by-community picture of the condition of children. In general, the data presented in this book are extraordinarily rich. Information about out of home placements, child abuse, graduation rates and juvenile crime is all important and deserves attention not provided here.
